Lajas is one of the most visited cities at the South West of Puerto Rico. Lajas have many attractions for tourist like, La Parguera, Numerous of islets, cays, diving spots and the amazing Bio-Bay. Lajas is well known for great restaurants, artesanal works and places to stay.

Lajas was founded in 1883 by Teodoro Jácome Pagán. Lajas is known as "La Ciudad Cardenalicia" (cardinality city). The village of La Parguera is a popular tourist destination to see the famous BahÃa Fosforescente (Phosphorescent Bay) and its keys and islet's.1- Phosphorescent Bay, where millions of luminescent dinoflagellates light up when disturbed by movement; moonless nights are best, you can go on boat or do kayaking. Numerous mangrove cays and islets form ornate channels places.
